Romney Salt Marsh Lamb
" Romney Salt Marsh Lamb is produced by traditional grazing of the Romney breed on the salt marshes of Romney in Kent. The meat offers a unique flavour due to the sheep grazing over the natural grasses and samphire of the salt marshes and is known for its delicate taste even in older lambs.
The marshes are free from any fertilizers and provide environment where the sheep can roam freely. This hardy existence causes them to put on extra fat which marbles the meat, adding to the flavour and making it moist. The meat has an altogether richer and sweeter flavour than meat produced from the same breed which has been grazed on regular pasture. "
Romney salt marsh lamb can be purchased in short saddle joints boned and rolled (as per picture) or with bone in. If you would like any other cut of Romney salt marsh lamb please ask.
